Paul wins Mid Winter Open
25 Aug 10 | On Saturday August 14 the annual Mid Winter open was held, a huge thank you to Barney and Donna- Maree for their organisation of this successful event. The individual scratch winner for the day and recipient of the Bob Webeck memorial trophy was won by Paul Blanch with a 1 under par round to sign the card for 37 points with closely followed by Warren Gorton with 34 points.
25 Aug 10 | By Phil Wilkins The hair-raising play-offs in the Abigroup Cup have continued with the Forster Tuncurry Dolphins squeaking into their third successive Lower Mid North Coast rugby union grand final against the Old Bar Clams by beating Gloucester, 21-19, at Tuncurry on Saturday.

18 Aug 10 | The Gloucester Cockies have flown into next week’s final against Forster after defeating the Manning River Ratz 25-24 in a nail-biting semi-final on Sunday afternoon.
Magpies into finals
18 Aug 10 | The Magpies executed a good win over West Wallsend last Saturday, winning the last competition round 32 – 12. The game didn’t come easy however as the recent lack of game time (a four week break due to byes and wet weather) really showed in the first half with plenty of dropped ball and sloppy penalties.
