Six athletes selected for State
17 Mar 10 | Local athletes performed well at the recent Regional Little Athletics Carnival at Tamworth. Six of Gloucester’s talented athletes are off to the State Championships this weekend. Kenneth Wamsley, Hannah Yates, Mikaela White, Kieran Schneider, Mia Bowden and Natalie Ferris are all off to the big smoke to represent our small club at Homebush.
17 Mar 10 | In the senior cricket semi-finals played last on Saturday, Rawdon Vale defeated Top Pub Cavaliers in a rain-affected major semi while Bowling Club Ford proved too good for Stroud in the minor-semi.

17 Mar 10 | Buckets Bashers/Kia Ora Krushers won the grand final and were presented with the “Laurie Atkins Memorial Trophy” by Kay and Ken Garland

17 Mar 10 | This grandfinal was very evenly poised before rain intervened, this meant that the match was washed out after the second team had faced 18 overs.

Remembering Gloucester's boxing past
17 Mar 10 | In the late 1940s and early 1950s Gloucester had a thriving boxing community, with regular bouts and a huge following for the sport. Local Julie Hardy is now trying to preserve some of the history associated with the sport, which helped play a part is raising funds to build the RSL Hall.

10 Mar 10 | Things are heating up down at Bert Gallagher oval as the rugby league boys are back in training. The 2010 season will commence soon with trials scheduled at Raymond Terrace prior to Easter.
10 Mar 10 | Both Gloucester Women’s Bowling Club pennants sides played at home last week with the No. 4s having a win over Tuncurry and the No 6s a win over Harrington A which put both grades well up the ladder.
10 Mar 10 | Last Saturday the first round of the 2010 Pennant season got underway at Gloucester Bowling Club with mixed results for Gloucester. The No3 side against Tuncurry won on two rinks and drew the third for a 5.5-0.5 (64 - 38) win for a good start. The No5s were not so fortunate and went down to Wingham 0 - 6 (49-54) in a very close tussle.
10 Mar 10 | This Saturday is semi final time in the Gloucester senior cricket competition, with minor premiers Rawdon Vale taking on the Top Pub Cavaliers on No. 1 oval, and Stroud and Bowling Club Ford confronting each other in the minor semi on No. 2.
10 Mar 10 | Saturday golf On Saturday members played the monthly stroke and mug event for N & E Sansom’s trophy day, thanks very much for your continued support of our club Peter and Shirley.
