Gloucester’s Ann Plumridge is $5,000 Gloucester Dollars richer after winning first prize in the shop local competition.
Her decision to purchase locally and collect receipts as part of the Grow Gloucester competition has netted her the major prize. Ann’s winning receipts came from Gloucester Health Foods, Cafe 57, Caltex and IGA.
Organiser Jan Tresidder said between 15, 000 and 20,000 entries had been submitted in the three month campaign which was drawn on Saturday afternoon at the Chill Out festival.
Second prize, $1,000 Gloucester Dollars went to J J Lorimer, third prize of $750 Gloucester Dollars was won by Dimity Bowden, fourth prize of $500 Gloucester Dollars to Larissa Stokes, fifth prize of $200 Gloucester Dollars to Kath Fordham and sixth prize, a tourism package was won by Helen Banks.
