The ups...and downs of being a cowboy

29 Jul, 2009 05:00 AM
The 26th annual Glowalman junior rodeo series has spread its wings this year and signed up its first international competitors.

Jalen and Greta Loska from California joined cousin Wyatt Hall from Stratford competing at this year’s event, scheduling their visit to Australia to co-incide with the junior rodeo series.

They were among some 350 competitors taking part in the 2009 Glowalman series which started at Nabiac, before moving on to Gloucester on Wednesday and Thursday and finishing in Wingham.

Junior rodeo president Kelvin Gregory said the event had once again attracted a good contingent of competitors from across the state.

He said competition was strong over the five day event.
