Tops turned white

22 Jul, 2009 05:00 AM
More than 10 centimetres of snow fell in parts of the Barrington Tops last week, with snow falls on both Wednesday and Thursday nights.

By Friday morning snow was as far down as Devil’s Hole and around Polblue was up to 10 centimetres thick and had created a winter wonderland.

The school holidays brought out dozens of sightseers, keen to experience snow in the local area, with the snow lasting most of the weekend.

Police reported no problems on Scone Road on in the Barrington Tops despite the increased traffic in the area.
