This week sees new bins being delivered to residents in rural areas of Gloucester Shire Council in time for the start of a new roadside collection service from July 7.
Gloucester Shire Council has made changes to the current Waste and Recycling Management Service, which has included the introduction of the kerbside service to rural areas. Residents on Wallanbah Road, Bucketts Way East, Bundook Road and Bundook Village, Mograni Creek Road, Waukivory Road, Barrington East and Barrington West Roads, Scone Road and Copeland Village, Thunderbolts Way to Bowman Farm Road and Kia Ora Road areas will be receiving both a garbage bin (with a red lid) and a recycling bin (with a yellow lid). JR Richards and Sons, Council’s Waste contractor started delivering the bins and an information package yesterday.
The new service starts on July 7, with the information packages detailing the day of pick up for the different areas. The introduction of the new service will assist with improving the separation of household waste and recycling materials within the Shire.
