25 Aug 10 | On Saturday August 14 the annual Mid Winter open was held, a huge thank you to Barney and Donna- Maree for their organisation of this successful event.
The individual scratch winner for the day and recipient of the Bob Webeck memorial trophy was won by Paul Blanch with a 1 under par round to sign the card for 37 points with closely followed by Warren Gorton with 34 points.

The hair-raising play-offs in the Abigroup Cup have continued with the Forster Tuncurry Dolphins squeaking into their third successive Lower Mid North Coast rugby union grand final against the Old Bar Clams by beating Gloucester, 21-19, at Tuncurry on Saturday.
25 Aug 10 | The Magpies have sailed to victory, beating Morisset Bulls 27 – 20 in the first elimination final last Saturday. However celebrations were dampened with crucial injury striking the team.

Bush rugby has never looked better than at Gloucester on Sunday as the Cockies overcame the Manning River Ratz at the last gasp to qualify for the Lower Mid North Coast preliminary final against Forster Tuncurry at Tuncurry on Saturday.
18 Aug 10 | The Gloucester Cockies have flown into next week’s final against Forster after defeating the Manning River Ratz 25-24 in a nail-biting semi-final on Sunday afternoon.
18 Aug 10 | The Magpies executed a good win over West Wallsend last Saturday, winning the last competition round 32 – 12. The game didn’t come easy however as the recent lack of game time (a four week break due to byes and wet weather) really showed in the first half with plenty of dropped ball and sloppy penalties.

11 Aug 10 | Wow, an immaculate day to be back playing tennis, after several weeks of giving in to the endless rain and flooded courts. It was a foggy start, then a few zephyrs of breeze and drifting clouds and beautiful sunshine.
11 Aug 10 | Last weekend the Mixed Pairs Competition commenced at Gloucester Bowling Club when Daph and Phillip Wilson def Helen and Bob Crittenden, Vera Whatmore and Jim Henderson def Katherine and Tim Wilson, Jill and Kevin Everett def De Groves and Steve Higgins and in the match of the day Joan Ridgeway and Tom Donoghue def Steve Howlet and Ruth Westbury by the narrowest of margins.

04 Aug 10 | The Annual General Meeting of Gloucester Croquet Club was held on July 19, when our new committee for 2010 -2011 was elected. We welcomed Zan Menzel again as President, with Bev Murray filling the role of Vice President. Judy Hopkins is our new Secretary, Norma Wilson Treasurer, Association Captain Paddy Stevens and Golf Captain Barbara Ikin.
