On Saturday members played the monthly stroke and mug event for Gloucester Natural Therapies’ trophy day with a very good field of golfers making the most of the great weather and course conditions. Thanks very much Deidre for your continued support of our club I know all players appreciate your support. Winners on the day were Brendon Murray, who took out the monthly mug and A grade, with 67 on a countback, B grade went to Tom Dare on 69 and Jack Cohen took out C grade with 74. Gross winners on the day were Roy Crichton in A grade with 79, Tom Dare in B grade with 85 and Bruce(birthday boy) McKechnie in C grade with 98.

NTPs went to Craig McLeod in A grade, B Grade went to Terry Ireland, C grade was won by Bruce McKechnie and Craig also took out the 2nd shot. The ball comp went down to 74. After months of no one being able to get an eagle we had another one on Saturday with Greg Leighton sinking his 2nd shot on the 3rd hole, well done Greg.

Stratford Coal Super 7s

This week’s winner was the ever consistent golfer Wayne Maddalena with 20 points, although I’m not sure what handicap he was playing off. The ball comp went down to 15 on a countback and the NTP went to RBT.

Coming events

This week we will play the washed out Teacher’s cup which will be a single stableford event thanks very much to all the teachers who support this event, there are still plenty of spots on the time sheet so get your names in and make the most of this great weather. The following Saturday will be a 4BBB and individual stableford event for Town and Country’s trophy day. The annual Sponsors and Volunteers day will be on Sunday the 29th please get your names in if you wish to play. Also the annual Backbar day four man ambrose is on December 6 if you wish to play get your names in quickly as this is always a very popular event.
