Thursday night saw many of the clubs swimmers beat their personal best times by huge margins in 25, 50, 100 and 200m races. A great result for this early in the season!
Eliza Ward improved her 25m freestyle by over five seconds and Chloe Waugh took a massive 25 seconds of her 25m backstroke.
Jessica Relf took five seconds off her 50m backstroke and Jacob Bird improved his time by 11 second in his 50m back.
Ben Relf improved his 100m freestyle by 11 seconds.
It was a big night for the long distance races as well with Cameron Bonisch taking over 23 seconds off his 200m breastroke, Sophie Kingston and Danyon Wilkinson also took 12 seconds of their 200m Breast with Lilly Burrows improving her time in the race by over five seconds!...These are huge efforts by the swimmers well done.
We also had a special guest at the pool on Thursday night with former swimmer and life member Graeme Breese there to help out with the refereeing, encourage the swimmers and catch up with friends....it’s always great to have Graeme around and a special photo was taken of him with last season’s winner Jackson Davis with the trophy that Graeme donated to the club. The Harold Breese Memorial Trophy, for commitment to swimming.
