GLOUCESTER Library has a dedicated new team at the helm.
Librarian Cathy Devereux has wasted little time in forming her new team after taking over from Kathy Brandt in June.
Tess Nolan is the new casual library worker and will be employed on Saturdays and Mondays during the school term, while Amanda Field is the new relief library worker.
Amanda has previous experience working in the Newcastle Regional Library and also has a diploma in library information studies.
Most recently she has been working as a stay-at-home mum looking after her four young children.
“I love libraries. I’m very passionate about them and I jumped at the opportunity to get back into one,” she said.
Ms Nolan has come from the hospitality industry and is studying a teaching degree.
“Both ladies are enormously experienced in customer service and bring great skills set to the library team,” Ms Devereux said.
Ms Nolan will coordinate the library’s children’s story time activities, which run of a Monday during the school term. The next children’s story time day will be October 14.
