GLOUCESTER resident Kylie Cole is leading a disaster relief donation drive for the four-legged victims of the recent bush fire crisis.
Kylie, a keen horsewoman, is accepting donations of all forms of horse gear as well as fodder and first aid supplies to assist with the recovery effort from the fires.
“There were a lot of animals injured by the fires,” she said.
Kylie has teamed with a Sydney-based business Heavy Horse Heaven to donate supplies and funds to the recovery effort.
“This was something I felt I could do to help out,” she said.
“Supplies of anything we can get our hands on to help those animals that have been injured or are suffering as a result of the bsuh fires would be greatly appreciated.”
Ms Cole said she planned to take at least a trailer load of supplies to Sydney this weekend for the bush fire effort and was happy to make subsequent trips in the coming weeks should donations continue.
“We’ve already had a few donations,” she said.
“One lady donated cash and iodine because that’s all she could afford.
“Another lady dropped off some kitty litter.”
Cash donations can be made to Heavy Horse Heaven Inc at the Commonwealth Bank (account number 10183141 and BSB 062901).
Supplies can be dropped off at Kylie’s place, 4 Ironbark Close, Gloucester, the Gloucester Garden Centre, CRT or Bucketts Radio. Contact Kylie on 0407 083 722.
