Claire Robertson competed in the ten-pin bowling competition.
She spent the week in the athletes’ village and also attended the opening ceremony in Newcastle on December 1 along with clients of The Cottage.
The Cottage held a morning tea to fundraise for Claire in the lead-up to the Games.
Claire’s mother Sandra McGrak did the catering for the event.
Two Gloucester locals Mary Forbes and Jo Fitzpatrick also spent the week in Newcastle volunteering at the Games.
Both ladies spent the week at Charlestown Bowling Club assisting the athletes at the bocce rink. An estimated 200,000 spectators from 32 countries in the Asia Pacific region converged on Newcastle for the Games.
