Bucketts Radio would also like to thank Greg Fayth, Cedric Salter, and Ann and Steve Williams for their contributions to Bucketts Radio over the past four years.
Each has moved on to other pursuits in recent times.
“Bruce has been the engine driving the vehicle of ‘104.1FM - your voice in Gloucester’, often along bumpy roads,” Bucketts Radio president Shayne Holstein said.
“Other radio volunteers, past and present, as well as our wider community, celebrate his valuable contribution.”
Bruce has been a strong supporter of the Bucketts Radio team, volunteering his time to ensure the station continues to run smoothly and efficiently.
“As an essential part of the active team he has promoted and supported events and causes with many community organisations and charities,” Shayne said.
Bruce’s retirement has presented an opportunity for another equally enthusiastic and passionate individual to lead Bucketts Radio into a new and exciting era.
“The position requires a person with the heart and energy to serve the community, who will bring fresh ideas, vision and enhanced direction to the running of the station and someone who is able to work in cooperation as a team member,” Mr Holstein said.
“In return it will provide an interesting opportunity for someone to gain valuable work experience and to broaden and develop their career skills base.
“Or, alternatively, to share their previous managerial experience to help this community organisation to run as smoothly and efficiently as possible.”
