The amateur pilot is keen to pursue a career as a commercial airline pilot and is hoping a job working at the Newcastle Airport will help him achieve his dream.
He has also applied for the Virgin Australia cadet pilots program, which he hopes to join in 2015. Jack completed his schooling at Gloucester High in 2013.
As school captain, Jack was involved with the Student Representative Council and was held in high esteem by all his peers as a leader.
He also strived to improve the outcomes of younger students through his involvement in the peer support scheme that enables younger students a smoother transition into high school.
Jack was a district finalist in the Lions Youth of the Year competition and the recipient of the Defence Force Long Tan leadership and
teamwork award for the past two years. He completed his Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award in 2013 following a hiking expedition to New Zealand.
In 2010 Jack was involved in a Rotary exchange program where he spent three months living and studying at school in New Zealand.
Jack completed his Rural Fire Service cadetship while at Gloucester High and is a keen basketball player.
He has competed at a State level as part of the Hunter Combined High Schools team and also plays and referees in the local competition.
