Manager Troy Higgins travelled to Melbourne to receive the award at a gala dinner on February 15 as part of the CRT national conference.
The award recognises professionalism, support for staff and suppliers as well as commitment to local communities.
Gloucester Rural Supplies has been affiliated with CRT since 2005 and won the title for the first time in 2010.
“Just being nominated as one of the six State finalists was fantastic and to go on and win the award was a real honour,” Mr Higgins said.
“I’m very proud that we’ve been recognised again for the way in which we run our business.”
Mr Higgins singled out the members of his staff for special praise.
“Our success would not be possible without the tremendous work of our staff,” he said.
“They’re a very important part of this award, as is the team at CRT’s NSW office.
The general manager of CRT Greg O’Neill said Gloucester Rural Supplies continued to be a market leader.
“Gloucester Rural Supplies has continued to develop and expand their business and they are well positioned as leading providers of agricultural products and services in their local market,” he said.
“Troy and his team’s exceptional service standards, local expertise and progressive attitude set the benchmark within the CRT group and they are deserving winners of this award.”
Gloucester Rural Supplies includes a consultant agronomist and looks after a broad client base.
“CRT offers us the best of both worlds,” Mr Higgins said.
“As independents, we’re able to run our business in a way that best suits us, but we have access to CRT’s range of services and resources which means we can help our clients with everything from rural merchandise to insurance.”
