Chamber to fight for business

THE Gloucester Chamber of Commerce remains wholly committed to advancing business opportunities in the community, returning president Yvonne Reynolds said.

The Chamber held its annual general meeting last Wednesday, with Mrs Reynolds returning for consecutive terms as president.

The new vice president is Ray Twomey while Sandra Twomey is the organisation’s new treasurer.

The secretary position remains vacant.

The new committee is Ian Longworth, Stewart Carruthers, Ruth Laurie and Olga Redman (minutes secretary).

“Gloucester Chamber of Commerce is committed to improving the community of Gloucester through communication, promotion of employment opportunities and quality lifestyles,” Mrs Reynolds said.

“We support the development of new business in Gloucester so long as it meets all environmental and statutory guidelines laid down by federal, State and local governments.”
