A LOCAL livestock transporter says it was lucky no-one was seriously hurt when his truck rolled on the Thunderbolts Way on Saturday.
Trevor Yates, 46, suffered a broken collar bone and other minor injuries in the crash, which happened just outside of Nowendoc.
Police said the B-Double cattle transport, which was empty at the time, failed to negotiate a bend while travelling south and rolled onto its side.
Mr Yates said he was not sure what had caused the accident.
He said it was too early to say whether the truck was salvageable.
Police issued a reminder to all road users about safety after the crash.
“This crash could have so easily had a fatal result,” acting assistant Commissioner Stuart Smith from the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command said.
“It is crucial motorists take heed of our warnings and drive safely.”
