Gloucester Rotary raised more than $6500 for the Hillcrest aged care facility from the event, which was sold out.
Organiser Grahame Stelzer said 400 people had packed into the saleyards main arena for the night, with featured poets Bob Bush and Peter Mace as well local acts Claire Reynolds, Gabby Colquhoun, Wyatt Hall and popular band the Bowden Brothers.
“It was a super night, easily our most successful in the five years we’ve been running the event,” he said.
“We were sold out five days before the night. It just keeps getting better every year.”
Mr Stelzer said Rotary intended to run the event again in 2015.
