Coach Mick Kellehear is optimistic of a good showing and, despite missing several players due to work commitments, the Magpies will still field a competitive side.
The players have been training well with familiar faces Brett Gambrill, Tom Yates, Boe Clarke and Dane Schafer back in Magpie colours.
“Playing in front of our home crowd, hopefully we can put on a good showing,” Kellehear said.
The Magpies will hold a season launch and jumper auction this Thursday at the Avon Valley Inn from 7pm for sponsors and supporters.
Saturday’s game kicks off at 3pm.
