Gloucester Rotary Club says this year’s expo will incorporate a two-day vintage motocross (VMX) event on a purpose built track in the showground arena.
There will also be the usual trade displays, accessory suppliers and Ulysses show ‘n’ shine.
Last year there were approximately 1500 motorcyclists and visitors through the gates and the organisers are confident that number will be around 2000 in 2014.
“The free camping is proving popular and, coupled with the VMX event, we should see the showground full of campers,” Rotary’s Sam de Witte said.
Entertainment will be provided by One Night Stand, a Newcastle band, and the bar will be open from midday to 11pm.
Food and drink will be available while the show ladies will supply a hearty dinner.
Long term supporters of the expo include Ashley Beaton of North Coast V-Twins, Brisans of Newcastle, Taree Honda and Nabiac Motorcycle Museum.
New exhibitors this year include Mud ‘n’ Tar of Wauchope, Flynn Motorsports of Raymond Terrace, finance companies and apparel suppliers.
“The 2014 expo will have something for everyone this year,” Sam said.
“There will be lots of action with the VMX racing, more exhibitors than ever, a great band and possibly even racing under lights on the Saturday night.”
Gates open at 9am on Saturday, May 3 and entry is just $15 which includes free camping and entry into the raffle for a camera to be drawn on Saturday afternoon.
