The team travelled to Taree for an early game full of confidence after the previous weekend’s results.
The game was played in overcast and slippery conditions but it did not dampen the enthusiasm or skill level and the Magpies dominated from the outset.
Hard defence followed by great handling in offence meant points were never far away.
The score was 16-6 to Gloucester at half-time and the Magpies carried it on to win 38-16. Cooper Fordham scored two tries with one each to Darcy, Harrison, Bradey and Bryce.
The under 9s played Forster away and continue to improve with every outing.
The tackling practice is definitely paying off as all of the boys are taking down players of much larger size and never backing down.
Dean Franks, Brady Johnston, Sam Whittaker and Rhys Summerville were best on ground. The Magpies played well and tackled hard but Forster Green proved too strong.
Junior rugby league returns to Bert Gallagher Oval this Saturday with the under 11s playing Camden Haven. The under 9s travel to Wingham.
Kick-off for the under 11s is at 11am.
