All 16 students in the choir will perform in the primary arena choir at the Schools Spectacular which will be held at the Qantas Credit Union Arena (formerly Sydney Entertainment Centre) on November 28 and 29.
The theme of this year’s show is This is Australia.
Since it began in 1984, the School Spectacular has grown to become one of the world’s largest variety shows.
It involves more than 3000 public school students from across NSW.
Late last month the Gloucester Public School choir competed in the song and movement section of the Taree District Eisteddfod.
The students performed a medley from the award-winning musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
They performed beautifully and blew away the adjudicator with their amazing voices and superb actions.
Not only did the choir win first place in their section, they also won $400 for being the best choir overall.
Last Saturday, the choir performed at the Taree Eisteddfod grand concert.
Thanks to the parents, carers and family members who travelled over to support the choir.
