Charges laid after supermarket car park assault

TWO men have been charged with assault after a vicious attack on another man in a local supermarket car park.

The man was sitting in his parked car when he was punched by one of the accused through the window on Thursday, July 24.

A short time later he was assaulted again by a second man.

A 31-year-old Stratford man has been charged with common assault stemming from the first incident.  

He was released on conditional bail and will appear at Gloucester Local Court in August. A 19-year-old Newcastle man has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and common assault stemming from the second incident.  

The teenager was also released on conditional bail and will appear in court in August.
