Tough cattle meant riders had to work hard to get the beast out the gate and even harder to get an outside score.

Several young Gloucester riders made the trip and stood out in the presentations.

The right-hand course put horses and riders to the test as many of the horses had only run left-hand courses.

Thomas Murray finished first on Ela Nancy on Saturday and fourth on Ela Nancy on Sunday.

He also rode in the Champions of Champions draft to place a commendable eighth in the senior section.

Nick Murray placed second on Ela Miss Boss on Saturday and third on Sunday to ride off in the Champion of Champions draft to place fifth in the junior section.

Little pocket rocket Jess Murray had a fantastic weekend with a third-place finish on Saturday and her first ever full course.

Jess was also selected to ride in the champ of champ draft and placed eighth in the junior section.  

Dad Wayne placed fourth and fifth in the novice final.

Travis Sansom, riding Kelvin and Marie Gregory’s Shannon Vale Shine, was on fire to place second on Saturday and third on Sunday riding his own horse Dusty.  

Travis rode hard in the Champion of Champions draft chasing a fast beast only to be cracked off at the first peg.

Cameron Turner, riding his mare Doc’s Candy Doll, had a good run in the under 11s campdraft on the Saturday to place fifth.

He worked his beast well and scored accordingly.

Team Turner’s success continued on Sunday as Bianca Turner came back hard to win her draft.  

She managed to get around the second peg and rode to time. 

This is Bianca’s first year of campdrafting.

Brooke Turner, riding her new mare Cedervale Cheval, previously owned by the Young family, rode exceptionally well but finished just out of the placings.  

Josh and Olivier Gray also had a busy weekend, but despite riding well could not grab a placing.
