The Ridge was nominated for the Eco-friendly Award with the winner to be announced on September 4. Built as a family home by Dan and Judith Buckley about eight years ago, The Ridge is situated on 100 acres at the northern end of the Bucketts.
Completely self-contained, the property is powered by solar and gas and includes five bedrooms, three bathrooms, two living rooms and a large open-plan kitchen.
For the past five years The Ridge has been managed by Bev Price and her husband Adrian.
“We typically cater for groups or families,” Mrs Price said.
“We’re in an idyllic setting, right on the end of the Bucketts range with great panoramic views overlooking Gloucester.”
An open house for people to see what The Ridge has to offer will be held on September 7.
