Gloucester Garden Club Spring Fair

GLOUCESTER Garden Club’s Spring Fair will be held this Saturday at Peter and Shirley Hazell’s home at 87 Barrington St.

There will be a huge plant stall, white elephant stall, cake stall, book stall, sausage sizzle, silent auction raffle and guessing competitions.

All proceeds to go towards a new garden in the Memorial Park.

Gates open at 9.30am and close at 1.30pm.

Gloucester Scorpions Junior Football Grand Finals

Teams in three divisions will go head to head in the grand final of the Gloucester Scorpions junior football competition on Saturday.

In division one Valley Motors White takes on Rob Moore and Associates Green with kick-off at 9am.

The division two decider will see Barrington Trophies up against Valley Motors at 9.50am while in division three it is Valley Motors taking on Gloucester Mufflers at 9am.

The presentation will take place immediately after the last of the matches is played.

Bash ‘n’ Bang Family Bonfire and Fireworks Night

THE annual spring Bash ‘n’ Bang family bonfire and fireworks night will be held at Stroud Road on Saturday, August 30.

The event begins at 6pm and is one of the biggest pyrotechnic displays in the region outside of New Year’s Eve.

This year will see the return of amateur astronomer Dustin Hodges who will allow budding stargazers to get up close and personal with his impressive telescope.

Talented female vocalists Tiana Snowdon and Amber Tull will entertain the crowd with musical performances.

A modest entry fee will be charged and hot food and drinks will be available for sale.

The huge random raffle will be drawn just prior to the commencement of the fireworks.

Bring along a chair and say goodbye to winter alongside the roaring bonfire before the night’s sky fills with all the colours of spring.

Monkerai Springers B and S Ball

THE Monkerai Springers B and S Ball will be held at Riverwood Downs on Saturday, August 30.

Gates open at 10am with live bands and bar from 7.30pm to 2am.

Circle Work and a Ute Show as well as the Iron Gut Comp will be held through the day.

Monkerai is the only B and S with a Friday night warm up.

Gates open at 5pm with live bands and bar from 8pm to midnight.
