Mayor Rosenbaum said he seriously considered stepping aside from the role after a tumultuous 12 months but had a last minute change of heart and would again contest the position.
“I had a long think about it but decided I wanted to be there to guide council through this next 12-month period, particularly after all the work we’ve been doing in regards to the proposed special rate variation,” he said.
The elections of both the mayor and deputy mayor will take place at today’s monthly meeting.
