The oldest school in the Gloucester district celebrated its 150th birthday in fine style with a march down Argyle St before a special assembly and fete.
A cake to celebrate the occasion was cut by the oldest and youngest students present at the festivities with 96-year-old Gwen Street (nee Taylor) joining five-year-old Joshua Jones in doing the honours.
Barrington Public principal Alison Wise said the festivities had gone off without a hitch and thanked all those who attended for helping celebrate with the school.
