McKenzie spent time talking to the students before helping run training drills and a game of non-contact sevens at number one oval assisted by players from the local Gloucester Cockies team.
In a speech to welcome McKenzie to the school St Joseph’s teacher Lee Sullivan said it was “a moment in time, as many children and adults will not forget the day the national rugby union coach came to visit their school. Just because you come from a small school doesn’t mean big things won’t happen”.
