Reverend Michelle Hazel-Jawhary joined members of the Taylor family in cutting the ribbon to open the new store on King St.
“This has been a mammoth effort for our volunteers and we are excited to be moving to our new premises,” Reverend Michelle said.
“Our building is set up so that we can continue our valuable parish-based caring ministry, providing a place of welcome and hospitality, listening and inclusion, community and participation, creative and initiative, a place where stories are shared, a place of goodwill, generosity and celebration.”
Reverend Michelle said the new store was made possible through a generous donation to the church by Clarice Taylor.
The shop will be open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
