Emergency services were called to Middle Harbour around 6pm to respond to the incident.

Fortunately, there was nobody on board the 50 foot vessel at the time.
It is not yet known what caused the fire.

"It could be anything at this stage, maybe an electrical fault, but we can't say just yet," a spokesman from the Marine Area Command said.
The spokeman said the boat's owners had not yet been contacted.
Sailors have been advised to keep clear of the vessel and avoid the area if possible.
