Council said the final seal in the 5km of works was completed last week.  

“As well as an improved ride for users this will reduce the annual maintenance cost,” general manager Danny Green said.

Council crews have also completed the first stage of the Thunderbolts Way upgrade at Hungry Hill.

A further two stages will be carried out in the next financial year. 

The project has been jointly funded by the federal government with council 

contributing 20 per cent and the Commonwealth the remainder.
