TELSTRA says a four-hour disruption to mobile phone and wireless internet services in Gloucester yesterday was due to work at the town base station.

The telecommunications provider said notification of the works would normally appear on its service status page but it did not on this occasion, which was a fault on Telstra’s part.
“We apologise for the interruption to mobile services on Wednesday as we undertook work to upgrade our base station in Gloucester,” a spokesman for Telstra said.
“This resulted in a disruption to mobile services between 11.06am to 3.07pm.
“Every effort was made to reduce the impact to our customers and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
