Both the dawn service and the main commemorative service were among the largest ever seen in the town.
The Gloucester sub-branch commemorated the centenary of the Anzac landings with a special service in the memorial park.
The sub-branch had school students plant 34 crosses in the rose garden of the park to commemorate soldiers from the Gloucester district killed in action during the First World War.
A plaque commemorating the Anzac centenary was also unveiled during the service.
