The club was formed in September 1964 and was chartered on April 8, 1965, at a dinner at the same auditorium.
The anniversary dinner saw many visitors and representatives from Quota clubs around the country attend as well as guests from Lions and Rotary.
Special guests were past president of Quota International Carolyn Rice and director of the newly formed region 11 Janet Ahrens.
Past members and presidents of the Gloucester Quota Club also attended as well as three of the founding members of the club, Daphne Croker, Norma Fischer and Peg Graham, who were invited to cut the birthday cake.
The highlight of the afternoon was when Daphne Croker, the only charter member who is still a current member of the club, was presented with her 50-year service pin by Carolyn Rice and Janet Ahrens.
Both Carolyn and Janet spoke of the wonderful service that Daphne has given to the Gloucester Quota Club over the past 50 years - a large chunk of her life giving service to the local community and on a wider scale.
Congratulations to Daphne on this wonderful achievement.
