The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) approved Gloucester Shire Council's application to increase the rates.
Council applied for three consecutive increases of 13 per cent each year until 2018.
Based on Gloucester Shire Council’s application, average residential rates will increase by $119 in 2015-16, business rates by $136, farmland rates by $300 and mining rates by $5,961.
The increases are expected to generate $2.77 million over the three years which will be used to improve and maintain local roads and reduce infrastructure back logs.
