She will be one of 24 chosen from across the state, and will be attending lectures and training sessions for various skills, nutrition, video study, shooting, recovery spa and so on.
Jessica plays for the Maitland Mustangs, which is part of the prestigious Country Premier League, and she is also their captain.
Her position as point guard sees her involved in all facets of the game, both in offence and defence, allowing her to organise play.
The Country Premier League involves teams from as far away as Albury, Gosford, Illawarra, Newcastle, Tamworth and Coffs Harbour.
She travels down to Maitland each Thursday night for practice, and they play once a month in two day carnivals.
Jessica was chosen after an exhaustive round of trials in four different locations – her trial was at Newcastle.
She trialled against other girls from country and urban NSW in her own age group and only 24 were eventually chosen.
This is an excellent cap on her career and she can only go on to bigger and better things.
