Anglican Care chief executive Colin Osborne said it will cater for the needs of the ageing community within Gloucester by building a new purpose built aged care facility to take it into the future.
“Gloucester is such a proud and progressive area so we want to hear directly from the community about the future of aged care in their backyard. We are very keen to listen to their thoughts, feelings and any concerns if they have them,” Mr Osborne said, encouraging “everyone to get along to the meeting.”
Until the new facility is finished, Gloucester Hospital will continue to provide aged care through Hillcrest Nursing Home, Narraweems and Kimbarra Lodge Hostel. The Gloucester Joint Aged Care Transition Planning Team has been formed to guide transition planning in the coming three years.
The meeting will be held on Monday August 31, 3pm at Gloucester Senior Citizens Centre.
