The Field Station is used as an environmental teaching and research facility and as a base for further studies in the surrounding region.
The Open Day program will appeal to people of all ages with hands on activities, competitions, scientific equipment displays, a tour of the bushland site and the chance to test a BYO water sample.
And forget the jellybeans, there is even a special guessing competition for those who can count yabbies as well as a free sausage sizzle by Stroud Public School’s P&C.
With a covered outdoor learning area onsite, the event will take place rain or shine. The UTS Faculty of Science, School of Life Sciences is on Bucketts Way near Alderley Creek from 11am to 3pm.
