In the Grand Final, minor premiers Devils played second place getters the Sharks.
It was a very close game with both goal keepers making some great saves. Captains Bethany Hester and Makayla Battams had their usual good games. At half time Sharks had scored the only goal by Dean Germon. In the second half Battams scored to take Sharks to a two nil lead. Not long after Bethany Hester scored to be down 2 -1.
Both teams had their chances and then Beau Blanch took the score to 2 -2. With three minutes to go Toreen Denyer scored a great goal from the edge of the circle to give the Sharks a 3-2 victory.
We thank our sponsors Hebby’s Bakery and Toby Wilson for their help all year.
Thanks to the parents who bring the young players in and sit in the cold until games are over, Andrew Germon, Dale Tonks and Blake Stedman for all their help. See you in 2016.
