On Thursday October 29, 30 players registered for social bowls and five matches went ahead in triples competition. Winners on the day with 20 points and a win margin of 14 were Jim McIntosh, Steve Howlett and Tony Testeeg.
On the weekend the Club had a visit from the Charlestown Tigers travelling bowlers. Saturday afternoon saw the green full as six matches of fours went ahead as GBC battled the mighty Tigers. The day was a win for Gloucester as we took 4 matches to two and had some big wins on the way. The Sunday morning challenge saw club players join with the Avon Valley Hotel Social Club members to again take on the Charlestown boys. A great fun day was edged by Charlestown this time to make it one all for the weekend. We wish the Tigers a fond farewell and hope to welcome them again next year.
