On Friday afternoon, the helicopter travelled to Gloucester to meet an ambulance, which had picked up a 64-year-old male involved in a quad-bike accident.
The quad rolled on a property just outside Gloucester, leaving the patient with hip and pelvic injuries and requiring treatment at Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital.
At 3am on Saturday, the crew flew to Baradine after reports of two children with burns, possibly due to methylated spirits.
An eight-year-old boy was flown to Tamworth hospital by the Westpac helicopter and his 15-year-old sister was taken to Dubbo by the Royal Flying Doctors Service, both reportedly in a stable condition.
Later that morning, the rescue helicopter flew to Narrabri to treat an 82-year-old male suffering an aortic tear.
The patient was stabilised and flown to Tamworth hospital.
About noon, a paediatric team was flown to Tamworth hospital by the Newcastle Westpac helicopter to treat a five-week-old girl, who needed more medical treatment and was taken to John Hunter Hospital.
In the early hours of Sunday morning, the Newcastle Westpac helicopter came back to Tamworth hospital, this time to retrieve a two-year-old girl, who had been fitting and was transferred to John Hunter.
On Sunday at 1.15pm, the Tamworth crew flew to Diamond Head Beach, south of Camden Haven on the mid-north coast.
They treated a 43-year-old man, who had been dumped on a sand bank while surfing.
He was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney with a suspected spinal injury.
