Gloucester won 4-1 against the visitors utilising a home ground advantage. Despite a less than even surface and many raised shots, both teams displayed great ball handling skills. It was the young players again that were able find an edge into the goal with some great team passing.
Lachlan Howard was the first to convert followed shortly by his brother Callum. Mark Coombs took advantage of a confused defensive lineup and scored off a short corner. The Sharks replied in similar circumstances only to have Gloucester reply with a fourth goal leading into halftime.
The second half points came to a stand still. There were many scoring opportunities throughout this half but the the Sharks focused most of their strength on their defensive line-up which clearly had an impact. Final result, 4-1 to the Gloucester Panthers.
