Due to the lack of numbers in two of the Division 4 sides Ollie's Service Centre played against Blue Light. The teams only had three players each so the game was action packed. Ollie's scored early through Ethan Blanchard. He then added two more in short order despite valiant attempts to stop him from Hayley Green-Crook. Charlie Coombs then added his name to the scorers sheet for Ollie's taking the half time score to 5 nil. The action continued in the second half with the ball being swept from end to end. Kyan Leu after several close efforts finally scored for Ollie's with a great strike into a heavily defended goal. The scoring tempo increased with Charlie and Ethan again scoring for Ollie's taking their individual tally for the game to 5 goals a piece. Blue Light tried hard all game despite the one-sided final score. Ollie's took the game 11 to nil.
Gloucester BlueLight Division 3
All teams were short on players due to the School Holidays.
Game 1 between Hunter Special Vehicles and Gloucester Medico, due to Hunter Special Vehicles having to forfeit due to only two players turning up, we made up a team with other players and everyone had a good fun game, a big thank you to Tom Maggs and Rhys Saunders who played on the opposition team. The competition between the two Maggs boys was great.
Game 2 was between Autolec and Gloucester Blue light with Autolec winning 6 goals to 3
Competition between players was great Brennan and Dawn fought it out with their speed and Jacob, Jethro, Tylah and Alicia all tasseled with each other in the mid field with Max, Felicity, Jarah and Hudson all supporting their team mates with fantastic passing and defence.
Game 3 was between Bucketts Building Supplies and Gloss-Ter Car Wash, Bucketts Building Supplies winning 4 goals to 2.
This was an another great game, competition between Jonas, Kaitlyn, Hugo, Joey, Mitchell and Joseph was great to see and Wilden, Mathew and Mia defended hard.
Gloucester Mufflers Division 2
HSV versus Autolec was an exhausting game for all players as there were only 6 per side. Everyone ran hard all game and gave their best effort. Maroon were too strong for White, winning 8-0, goals scored by Beau and Dean, supported in attack by Jack and Ryan. Bree and Luke working hard in defence made scoring impossible for White. Excellent effort by Max and Emma for HSV.
Bluelight versus Barrington Trophies was the entertainment of the day, with a fabulous game of soccer played by all involved. Green worked hard all game, peppering Yellow's goalie, Zane, who continually repelled attempt after attempt at goal. Rachel defended brilliantly making Sam have to work really hard for his 3 goals. An almighty cheer rose from the ground when Zane scored Yellow's goal, a very difficult feat this season against the strong Green defence. Final score, 4-1 to Green (with an unfortunate own goal adding to Green's tally).
The final game of the day was intense as well, with the score 0-0 between Webbs Real Estate and Maslen's Hire. Both teams were outstanding in their defensive teamwork, making scoring impossible. Kai, Maddox, Ben and Eleanor had some really close chances at goal, but were stopped by the great goalkeeping of Red. Another wonderful game to watch with the increasing skills of the children really showing.
Gloss-Ter CarWash Division 1
Game 1: BlueLight versus Autolec. Gloucester BlueLight had to forfeit due to a lack of players but a fun game was still to be had. Jyah, Ethan and Harrison had a few unlucky shots at goals. Great game with lots of good passing.
Game 2: Accommodation Management versus Yates and Twomey. Accommodation Management had a great game with the team being short on players but made up for in effort. They all played brilliantly. Jarrod had a massive half in goals. Baily and Dylan scored two goals each and Sam scored one. Ayrleah had a brilliant run all game as did Jacob. Every player made some close kicks at goals and playing five a side made it a fantastic fast paced game to watch. Well done to each player. Yates and Twomey had a fantastic game with only five players. Kaito and Dylan played well in attack. Hamish and Andrew were strong in defence. James as usual was all over the park.
A huge thank you to Daniel Hughes who reffed both Division 1 games.
