When it comes to the annual Chill Out festival, some people come to ‘shop up a storm’, some for the chance to ride the heritage train, and others come for the live music and entertainment.
However, for a lot of people, Gloucester Chill Out is all about noshing on the delicious food.
This year festival-goers will have an abundance of treats to tickle their taste buds.
“We have food vendors, plus plenty of local cafes and restaurants will also be open on the day,” said festival spokesperson, Mel Williams.
Some will be serving exciting new items, while others will dish up old favourites including gingerbread and Dutch mini-pancakes.
Why not try a piping-hot German kransky from Anita's Gourmet Food or one of their spicy nachos.
The barbeque is always popular, with its great value sausage sizzle and service with a smile.
To wash it all down, why not take the weight off your feet and spend some time in one of Gloucester’s pubs and clubs.
The town is famous for its friendly service and variety of great value food and beverage outlets.
You can also visit one of the many of festival market stalls serving hot and cold beverages.
If you prefer to buy some great food or produce to take away, head for Sugar & Spice Gourmet Foods for pre-pack spices, jams and pickles, or hunt down Trudy and Easy Lonie’s lollies, chocolates and currypacks.
The Chill Out festival offers a great chance for the business chamber to showcase the unique products and services available in and around Gloucester.
“From a food perspective, the festival provides visitors with a great opportunity to explore Gloucester and to experience our friendly hospitality,” Mel Williams said.
“There are festival ‘regulars’ who definitely come for the food alone, particularly the delicious home-made dishes and the cafe and restaurant specials.”
“You can’t come to the festival without sampling what Gloucester has to offer.”
