With the help of MyRoadInfo, motorists can plan their travel routes to avoid disruption.
Whether you’re travelling for work, enjoying a day trip, hitting the shops or visiting friends, make sure to check out MyRoadInfo.com.au before you leave home.
The site can be accessed online and downloaded as a free app for your mobile. MyRoadInfo provides all the latest information on roadworks, road closures and updates on the status of roads during major weather events and emergencies.
It’s now available for every resident across the entire MidCoast Council region.
“This is the central hub for finding out where our road crews will be in the area, whether delays should be expected, and the duration of the works,” team leader business application services Peter Hatton said.
“We update the site regularly so that both locals and visitors to our region can plan ahead, minimise disruption to their travels, and ultimately reach their destinations safely”.
The service was previously available for the Great Lakes and Manning regions, but under the MidCoast Council banner it now extends across the region to include Gloucester and surrounds.
For ease and familiarity, users can click through to view roads in their local region, or for those travelling further afield, link to other NSW and interstate services to access information outside our region.
“The MyRoadInfo site is also a valuable tool for emergency services and local media, offering up-to-date information via map and in a printable report format,” Mr Hatton said.
As well as highlighting the location and scope of roadworks on the MyRoadInfo site, MidCoast Council provides a weekly update in local newspapers and on radio.
