Last Thursday night the Panthers took to the field against Wingham on the synthetic turf in Taree. From the first whistle Gloucester dominated play, giving away very few opportunities to the opposition.
The first ten minutes remained scoreless due to some rushed play in goal from the Gloucester forwards but after their captain, Mark Coombs, made a solid drive into the net, the goals then came fast with three more from Bruce Snape, Lachlan Howard and Josh Shelley.
The second half saw Wingham come out stronger with some of their younger plays desperate to turn the score around. It was not enough though to beat Gloucester's strong passing game and Gloucester was able to extend their lead further with two more goals to Callum Howard and Dave Keen.
With a final score of 6-0 Gloucester is now in a commanding position at the top of the leaderboard.
