It was in the Boomers’ first match against France.
It was his first appearance on court in the fourth quarter. He sunk a three-pointer during the few minutes he was on before heading back to the bench.
It was a highlight for the entire Martin family watching from their home in Gloucester. They were not sure if Damian would even get any court time, let alone score.
The Boomers went on to win the game 87-66.
They took out their second game against Serbia 95-80 on Monday (Rio time). Unfortunately he didn’t get any court time during this match.
It’s a big match coming up next for the Boomers when they’re scheduled to play the United States at 8am (AEST) on Thursday.
Damian’s father Ray has been up at 3am to watch every match and will be tuning in to see the big one against the USA.
