With tries to Bailey, Cooper and Leon the boys defended brilliantly and made many strong runs. Bryce and Dylan had strong games making the backs look pretty. It was great to see many Gloucester supporters travel to Port to cheer the boys home.
Next week we head off to Wingham to play Port Sharks in the final for a spot in the grand final.
Go the junior Magpies.
In a positive not no Falcons were recorded.
Under nines
Under nines Gloucester Magpies enjoyed playing at a gala day in Port Macquarie to finish of their 2016 season.
The boys played four games which saw them make lengthy metres for many tries. Many games saw us defending our line strongly.
There was lots of great teamwork with the boys pulling off many practised skills that were beautiful to watch. It was certainly a highlight to beat the undefeated team.
A big thank you to all our parents and supporters for your continued support throughout the year. See you all at our presentation day on September 11.
Under eights
Marshall and Destin ran like freight trains; Will and Riley tackled anything that moved, Jake and Toby light stepped through, Connor forgot that he is four foot tall and tackled like a machine, and Travis scored tries at will - the boys had a great day out.
Unfortunately the under 10s bowed out last week from the finals. Can't wait for next year boys.
