Jarrod Plater stunned everyone with a massive vortex throw in the under six age group. His throw measured 14.62 metres.
Charlotte Maslen broke the under 15 shot put record that was set by Natalie Ferris in 2008/2009. Charlotte surpassed the old record by over half a metre with a throw of 9.45m.
A very impressive start to the season by both of these athletes.
We have only had a few nights of competition so it is not too late for new children to come along and join in at Little Athletics on a Tuesday afternoons.
We start at 3:45pm and the club offers a two week trial period for new athletes.
