The NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet attended the meeting on Tuesday, September 6 that was independently facilitated by the Resolution Network.
The crowd of around 70 people asked a wide range of questions.
"The questions and answers give a good overview of the issues to be considered by anyone who is considering making a submission on the proposal, " said Wayne Burgess, MidCoast Council's Project Team Leader.
You can view the meeting fact sheet on council's website at www.midcoast.nsw.gov.au/rockyhillproposal.
Council has also placed the former Gloucester Shire Council's Policy on Mining and Extractive Industries on the same webpage, for easy reference by the community.
“The submission MidCoast Council is preparing in response to the Rocky Hill Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and Stratford Mine extension is progressing well,” said Mr Burgess.
“The DPE has requested input from a number of government departments and asked each of us to focus on particular issues, which is forming the basis of our submission."
Submission are due by October 14 and can be submitted via the DPE website www.majorprojects.planning.nsw.gov.au/index.pl?action=view_job&job_id=5156
